Our Story

I never set out to start a line of car cleaning products. When I started washing cars in December 2000 and eventually started my car washing and detailing business, I simply wanted to be different and work hard to give my customers a superior wash. I felt like if washing cars was what I was doing, I should try to be the best. And, with this growth mindset, I built a following of high-end customers with luxury cars in San Marino and Pasadena, California But I always found myself disappointed with conventional cleaning techniques, that used tons of liquids even though the real results came from the towels. The detailing nerd in me quickly learned that the cleaning system I was looking for wasn’t on the shelf. I constantly tinkered with different formulations of cleaners for exterior finish and interior stains. I wanted something fast and effective, yet super gentle and protective of leather and paint. I started working with microfiber—different textures and densities. My clients were the beneficiaries of any innovative idea I thought. After a decade of field, testing it on high-end cars I’ve developed the cleaning system I’d always wanted to just walk into a store and buy. It’s a clean my customers have been enjoying for years but that anyone can use. And I’m proud enough to announce that in 2021 I launched Olvera’s Supplies with my family’s name on it.
